KINGS OF THE HOVERCRAFT!!!!

Waiting for Poppie to return from the Hardware Store

These are my toys and I will guard them with my life, well, at least until I hear the freezer open. I like ice cubes more.

We were wrestling, now we are resting, later we will wrestle again.

If I walk with you, do I get a cookie?

Even if I ripped off the Blue Bunny's ears, I still love him and he loves me.

Hoover loves his blue hippotomus.

When it comes to sleeping in the shower, Dyson has no modesty.

Hoover standing, Dyson guarding the newest favorite toy. Hoover especially likes to sneak out to the front yard and grab up a fallen orange. If it is last years, nice and soft, he runs immediately to the back yard and hides under the big truck to just gnaw on it. This time Dyson has the orange, but it is green and not so tasty.

We love the new shower!!!
Coolest floor in the house.

As you can see everybody has BIG BOY EARS!!!!

Sunday, June 28, 2009

Dyson and Hoover have had their last series of puppy shots. They outgrew their collars and are now sporting new ones. Dyson is still blue and Hoover is still red. They also needed larger food dishes! We continue to work with them walking on leash, Dyson on the left and Hoover on the right. At first they are so excited it is hard to listen to 'Heel', but once we have gone aways, they settle down and work well. Recently they have been introduced to 'Sit' and 'Stay' and use it around the time we feed them. They do very well with 'Sit' but 'Stay' is still a challenge. Our next lessons will be 'Down' and 'Fetch'. Hoover already practices returning a ball when it is thrown. This may be more difficult for Dyson because he doesn't seem interested in games.
When we decided to choose German Shepherds we agreed we wanted the largest of the liter and hoped they would grow to be large dogs. We choose Dyson because he was the largest of the liter and Hoover because he was the next largest (and because he seemed to choose us). When they had their final puppy shots they were also weighed. Here is their record. Dyson- @8 weeks 10.10lbs, @11 weeks 17.4 lbs, @15 weeks 30lbs, and @19 weeks 35.4lbs.
Hoover- @8 weeks 8.04lbs, @11 weeks 17.6 lbs, @15 weeks 30.8 lbs and @19 weeks 37.4 lbs.
We no longer have any doubts about having large dogs!

Just an empty beef jerky container provides several hours of entertainment!

This smells interesting.

Hoover chases it down!

It appears to move on its own.............

Hoover is determined.

Something tells me.........

Whoooooo, Yeah!!!

Dyson is still working on his Big Boy Ears.

He has his Big Boy Bark in full operation!

Hoover is so ready for life!

Harry and I are traveling.

While we are traveling, Dyson and Hoover are staying with Beau and Shay Nee (sorry, Jes, I just can't spell it the way you do).

Raise your paw if you know what state they are in!!!

Sleep overs are fun, but we miss Poppie and Ma

We see them everywhere

My Favorite Private Place by Hoover

I think I have discovered the perfect private place. Dyson doesn't know about this yet. Let's keep it hush-hush.

I think I would nap better if you didn't watch me, especially the laughing, it gets on my nerves.

With a little practice I think I can fit.

I had a little trouble with the feet.

If I really tuck, just my nose sticks out.

Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow.

Places we like to sleep (nap, really).

The Boys were pulling up the underlayment that is in the back yard under the gravel to prevent the weeds from growing. Apparently Dyson had quite the work out and fell asleep with some 'fluff' in his mouth.

Dyson likes the pillow--- and the table, too, I guess

Hoover likes to cozy up to the couch.

Time to Go to Work

Hoover is always ready to be included. Dyson likes to wait until the action begins before he exerts himself.

These are our Working Leashes. We have them on when it is time to learn words like 'Heel', 'Sit' and stuff like that. Walking with Poppie almost everyday is fun. Lots to see, lots to smell, lots to bark at, and treats when we pay attention.

THREE CHEERS FOR EARS!!!

YUP! THEY ARE UP!!!!!

Mine are 'upper' than yours!

Random Pictures

Hey, Hoover, let's grab a tissue and run!

Maybe we can share our new pillow

Ears make a good snack.

Get off me!

Hoover, you fell off. I win!!!

Dyson stakes his claim

We found a stick in the alley.

When I say 'go'!

We can't decide who gets it.

If we dig up the gravel, we find this marvelous stuff to tug on. Our main job is to pull it ALL up. We are very busy!

I love this bunny.

Dyson's Ears are up!!!!

My turn for some attention!

Look, Dyson, this is how you do it.

Hoover's ears have been up since March 30th. 29 days later they are really looking upright and strong.

We have been watching Dyson, thinking it could be any day now.

One ear is pretty consistent, the other will follow.

I am lookin' so good!
