This is Hoover. Yesterday two things happened that disturbed me. The first one is that He took away our dirt. Last week He was doing a lot of shoveling on the other side of the gate where He parks the Riding Things. We were so excited because He piled all that nice cool dusty dirt in our play area. Oh, what joy as we spent the week laying in it, digging in it and taking it with us into the house. It was so nice and cool to lay in, it just flew all over when we dug in it, and, of course, it was all over our fur when we ran into the house. It was lovely. It must have something to do with the Big No we hear when we dig anywhere. They had a talk about it, I saw Them pointing and pacing but I didn't recognize any words. Then He came with a shovel and took it all away and put little stones there. They are cool to lay in but they don't stick to our fur the way the other stuff did. Also I guess we are not supposed to dig in it. I told Dyson not to, I even barked at him a couple of time and ran in to tell on him. So when She came out to see what he was doing we both got the Big No. I think She knows it wasn't me, cause she looked at our paws.
The other thing that disturbed me is the Little Red Whiner. I know it is red because I wear a red collar and have a red leash. The Little Red Whiner is small and has two tails. She puts one of them into the wall and then drags the other one on the floor. It likes dirt, too, because She gave it all our dusty dirt that was on the floor in the house. I can not decide if I like the Little Red Whiner or not. Dyson just laughs and walks away, I secretly think he is afraid of it. Once She put one of the tails a little close to Dyson's nose and he got up in a huff and walked off. But I smelled the fear in him. I am not afraid of the Little Red Whiner at all. Except that one time when I stepped on it's tail and it yanked it right out from under my foot. That made me a little nervous. It hides one tail inside it's belly, but the other tail stands up in the tiny room with it all day. I feel a little sorry for it because it can not move unless She drags it around. How boring. I'm glad I am a dog.
